Joan and Elizabeth founded their firm in 1987 due to their common interest in civil rights litigation, in particular defending the constitutional rights of prisoners and of all people to be free from discrimination based upon their race, sex, age, or sexual orientation. For twenty years the firm maintained offices in the Seaport area of Lower Manhattan where we were joined by brilliant, dedicated, and inspiring associates and law students, each of whom embraced the firm’s mission. Past associates of the firm are:
Cara Cherry, Esq.
Jenny Huang, Esq.
Keith Donahue, Esq.
Alexander Reinhart, Esq.
Katie Rosenfeld, Esq.
A law office cannot run effectively and efficiently without a dedicated Office Manager, and we were held together throughout our time in NYC by one of the best in the business – Zenida Gonzalez.
In 2007, as staff moved on to new challenges and the partners wanted more time with their families, the firm downsized and relocated to Yonkers.
